For over 25 years the California Science Teachers Association has hosted the largest professional development conference for science educators in the state of California. Annually, the California Science Education Conference draws science teachers from all grade levels K-12, public and private schools, district level teachers, county office of education science coordinators, administrators, informal science educators, preservice teacher educators, and preservice science teachers. The conference is known by many science education entities in the state as the place to meet, network, and learn.
This year, the California Science Education Conference will return to the San Jose Convention Center on October 18 – 20, 2019. CSTA is anticipating an attendance of approximately 1,800—2,100 educators. 2018/19 will be a pivotal year in the ongoing implementation of the California Next Generation Science Standards (CA NGSS) in classrooms across California. The California State Board of Education is scheduled to take action to adopt instructional materials in K-8 on November 8-9, 2018 and the first operational statewide summative assessments for science will be launched in early 2019. All of these activities and more are encouraging districts and teachers to invest more in CA NGSS implementation. The California Science Education Conference is the place to connect with leaders in CA NGSS implementation and have your companies name, products, and services in front of decision-makers and influencers.
Teachers come to the conference to not only learn about products, services, and resources (California Science Education Conference attendees recognize the exhibit hall as a crucial part of their conference experience) they also attend for the high-quality networking and professional learning workshops. CSTA offers a limited number of slots for exhibitor workshops. As a confirmed exhibitor, you will have the option of submitting a proposal to present a 90-minute workshop.
The 2019 California Science Education Conference offers your company/organization the once-a-year opportunity to connect with California’s science teachers and leaders in a forum that is friendly and productive. There are many benefits to exhibiting. I invite you to read on and learn more about the 2019 conference.
